On April 6, 2026, ISCZ convened a webinar with three authors of articles appearing in the Winter 2026 issue of its Journal for the Study of Christian Zionism, which examined “Christian Zionism and Nationalism in the Era of Trump.” Halah Ahmad, an Al-Shabaka policy member, Ben Lorber of Political Research Associates, and Robert O. Smith, Vice President, Dean, and Associate Professor at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, joined ISCZ Director Mimi Kirk for a wide-ranging discussion.
Topics included the connections between these ideologies in North America, Latin America, and beyond; the growing Christian right and Christian Zionist movement the New Apostolic Reformation; and new polling data on MAGA voters’ views on Israel and Palestine.
